Vena Energy and Quantum Mesh Enter Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Edge Green AI Infrastructure in Japan
Vena Energy (hereinafter "VENA") and Quantum Mesh Inc. (hereinafter "Quantum Mesh") today announce that they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to jointly promote a portfolio of scalable edge green AI infrastructure in Japan. Under this MOU, future next-generation edge data centers will be co-located with VENA's renewable energy projects or operate by partially utilizing that energy, providing sustainable, high-performance computing solutions while contributing to Japan's digital transformation.
With the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and AIoT (Artificial Intelligence of Things) applications, global demand for safe and efficient green data centers continues to increase. VENA and Quantum Mesh will combine VENA's extensive expertise in developing, constructing, and operating large-scale energy and data center projects with Quantum Mesh's advanced design and technology (including its proprietary liquid immersion cooling technology for high-efficiency computing) to jointly conduct feasibility studies on portfolios of edge green AI infrastructure projects that provide integrated energy and computing solutions for next-generation edge data centers.
This initiative contributes to building a secure, stable, and scalable digital infrastructure, serving as a stepping stone for Japan—known for its robust regulatory framework, strong data protection standards, and long-standing commitment to technological innovation—to evolve into a major regional AI computing hub. VENA is a leading developer and operator of green AI infrastructure solutions, possessing a portfolio of approximately 40 GW of green energy projects and 1 GW of data centers in operating, under-construction, and development stages across the Asia-Pacific region. Leveraging its expertise in green energy generation and infrastructure development, VENA is committed to promoting low-carbon, high-efficiency AI computing solutions that support Japan's energy transition and future AI-driven economy.
Quantum Mesh specializes in the development and operation of portable edge data centers, providing secure data protection and advanced calculation processing. The company developed its proprietary liquid immersion cooling technology, which significantly reduces energy consumption compared to traditional air-cooling systems and optimizes spatial efficiency. This innovative approach enhances calculation efficiency, sustainability, and security, realizing an optimal environment for high-performance AI applications.
